The Timbers Residence Hotel recently opened, bringing Denver's Northeast corridor its first upscale lodging option. The 127-suite hotel occupies 7.2 acres off Interstate 70 on Peoria, one mile from Fitzsimons Medical Campus and in close proximity to Denver International Airport.
"The Timbers' timing is perfect," says Julie Bender, DIA Partnership President and CEO. "With the Northeast region's expansion booming, we are excited to have another hotel of this caliber to offer to professional and leisure travelers. The Timbers adds to the Northeast region's strong hotel base of nearly as many hotel rooms in the Northeast metro region as downtown Denver. The Northeast region offers the choice of high quality hotels for the thousands of travelers to and through the Denver metro area." She adds that DIA and the surrounding communities will contribute nearly $85 billion to the metro Denver economy; up substantially from the current $15.3 billion.
We are excited for the hotel's first year, but are also looking forward to our continued growth." says Timbers General Manager, Steve Fisher. "Phase two plans, slated for summer 2006, include a signature spa and additional suites."
