based Photomax has created a new photo gallery service featuring 5 GB of free online photo storage, 20 free prints, and a free 8 x 10 print.

"Yahoo has created a flap with its merger of Flickr users into a new Yahoo version of Flickr, but disgruntled Flickr loyalist have options with Photomax", says Glenn Garnes, an independent distributor with the company. "We are ready to service all photo fans who are not happy about Yahoo's plan for them," added Garnes.

In addition to the free storage and prints, Photomax also offers paid services including photo DVD's set to music, an entire catalogue of gift items for customers to put their photos on, a photo scanning service that digitizes old photographs and uploads them into your Photomax account to share with others.

The paid service also comes with a "digital developer" that plugs into a USB port and automatically uploads your photos from compact discs or other media, to your computer and to your Photomax account, automatically.

"Photomax makes sharing digital photos about as convenient as it will ever be, and makes it easy to create customized gifts with your photos," explained Garnes. "The mix of features is pure genius and we are pleased to represent the product," added Garnes.
