Pitch & Hit Club of Chicago High School Baseball Showcase Presented by BBK Sports
The Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago is a professional baseball organization that promotes the game of baseball in the Chicago area. The Pitch and Hit Club was formed by a group of Major League players and scouts in January of 1942, originally as a social organization. Since its inception, the Club has grown substantially in size as well as its stature in the professional baseball community. The role of the club has changed through the years, sponsoring various teams and tournaments, and will this year, host the premier amateur workout to showcase the highest-level amateur baseball talent in Illinois and the surrounding states.
(PRWEB) September 1, 2005 -- The 2005 Pitch & Hit Club of Chicago High School Baseball Showcase is scheduled to take place on October 1st at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, Illinois. The top fifty high school baseball players from the state of Illinois have been invited to this premiere showcase free of charge.
Current roster is attached and will be updated on a daily basis until it is finalized.
Registration will begin at 8 AM above the 1st Base gate.
Guest speakers Gordie Gillespie from the University of St. Francis and Terry Sullivan from the Boston Red Sox will present What we look for" to the players and parents from 8:30 AM to 9 AM.
Players will begin stretching for the Oct. 1st event at 9:00 AM with the workout beginning at 9:30 AM. A 12 inning game will follow up the showcase beginning at 10:45 AM.
Entrance fee for non-Pitch and Hit Club members is $20, includes entrance and player booklet
$20 Members: Pay 2005/2006 membership, entrance and booklet (Membership is $20)(New Membership is $25)
$5 Parents/Friends and Guests entrance
$20 with booklet
We will also have available a limited number of DVD copies of Prospect Movie for sale exclusively at the showcase.
