Lebanese Designer Jamil Khansa to Showcase Lavish Couture Collection in U.S. Debut

Pioneering Lebanese designer Jamil Khansa will present his latest fashion collection this Fall in New York City. Part of Couture Fashion Week (R) produced by USA International Fashion Shows, the runway presentation will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at West Side Loft, 336 West 37th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues).

(PRWEB) September 1, 2005 -- Jamil Khansa is the first Lebanese designer to show during Couture Fashion Week.

After being personally invited to participate by the event organizers, the young designer was pleased to take advantage of the opportunity for which he had been hoping for some time.

"I am looking forward to showing my collection in New York," says Khansa. "I believe participating in this event can open a door to a good deal of positive international exposure in the fashion world."

Jamil Khansa's latest collection is a unique showcase for the talented designer's creativity with a warm color palette of browns, burgundy, green and dark orange with important uses of black and dark grey. Fabrics include velvet, crepe and organza, with the introduction of lace and muslin in some dresses, as well as the use of feathers, fur and embroidery in others giving the designs an enchanting magic and splendor. Most striking is the Swarovski crystal ornamentation accentuating the wearer's beauty with dazzling elegance and femininity.

Jamil Khansa has shown collections in Rome and at the Casino du Liban (Lebanon). In 2003 the multinational company Nissan chose Mr. Khansa to decorate one of their cars.

Khansa's designs combine magical imagination with extensive experience and an emphasis on impeccable quality. Whether in Beirut, Dubai, Jeddah, or soon in Beverly Hills, every woman in search of the supreme elegance of impeccable fashion design will find Jamil Khansa at her service.
