NAL Worldwide Announces Two New Key Executive Positions

Strengthens focus in retail industry solutions and organizational growth.

(PRWEB) September 1, 2005 -- Douglas Christensen, President, of NAL Worldwide, today announced the appointment of two new key executive positions. Karen Galena, Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions -- Retail, and Denneen Ford, Vice President, Human Resources. These leadership additions are a part of NAL Worldwides growth and development strategies, as a result of its launch earlier in August 2005, when its acquisition of SIRVA Logistics was completed.

Karen Galena is a 20-year veteran of the supply chain industry, with particular expertise in supply chain challenges facing retailers, construction, installation, fixture and signage manufacturers. Before joining NAL Worldwide as Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions -- Retail, Karen was Vice President, Specialized Logistics with Sears Logistics Services where she was responsible for SEARS.com, catalog, product repair services, and The Great Indoors logistics activities. Prior to joining Sears, Karen was Vice President, Logistics, for Hub Group Distribution Services where she was responsible for all sales and marketing. Karen holds a B.A. in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and a M.B.A. from the University of Detroit. Karen has served with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals as an officer for both the Local Roundtable and Executive committees, and as a member of the Warehousing Education and Research Council.

This additional leadership role was created by NAL Worldwide to better service its growth position in the retail segment of new store openings, remodels, and seasonal projects.

As Vice President, Human Resources, Denneen Ford will provide strategic organizational direction to enhance NAL Worldwides business growth plans. Denneen has held a variety of human resource management roles in the services industry. Before joining NAL Worldwide, Denneen served as Vice President of Human Resources Ops for SIRVA, Inc., where she provided strategic human resource planning, organization development and talent acquisition support to the Moving Services and Global Sales organization. She also maintained a key role in companys acquisition/divestiture activities. Prior to SIRVA, Denneen spent 10 years with North American Van Lines, where she held leadership roles in compensation, benefits, payroll and employee relations. Denneen holds a B.S. in Management from Indiana University, as well as SPHR certification from Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

The announcement of these new executive positions is the latest in a series of strategic moves to strengthen NAL Worldwides position as a leader in managing complex, multi-site, variable inventory supply chains. Since 1988, leading companies in the technology, telecommunications and retail industries have turned to NAL Worldwide, and its infrastructure of 29 facilities, to provide improved profitability and innovation through accurate, complete visibility across the supply chain.
