Vocus, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand software for corporate communications and public relations, announced today that the Virginia Association of REALTORS has selected Vocus software to help automate and manage its public relations. With over 36,000 members, the Virginia Association of REALTORS is the state's largest individual membership trade association.

According to Communications and Marketing Director Lisa Noon, the Virginia Association of REALTORS had used a regional service in the past that up until recently only provided contact names, fax numbers and mailing addresses. She was eagerly looking for a system that would bring her PR operations into the 21st Century.

“We could no longer afford to spend hours creating our own contact database and sending out hundreds of faxes and emails by hand,” said Noon. “With Vocus we have one comprehensive software product to help us build media lists, distribute news and measure and analyze the results. Our lists are more targeted than ever, and we are able to more easily identify, and act upon press opportunities; Vocus gives us all the functionality we need to succeed.”

Vocus provides an integrated on-demand software suite for PR professionals. The Vocus on-demand software suite manages media and analyst relationships; interactive email campaigns; projects and news; files, documents and other collateral; and online newsrooms. The software also analyzes media coverage and other PR information to provide real-time feedback on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and early intelligence on trends unfolding in the press.

“Corporate communications departments are always looking for ways to better manage their PR efforts and improve their results,” said Rick Rudman, president & CEO of Vocus, Inc. “Our integrated on-demand software suite delivers these benefits and much more as we help PR professionals move into the digital communications era.”
