Virginia resort to reimburse cost of gas to its guests.

Our guests come to Wintergreen to escape the stress of everyday life. We don't want the rise in gas costs to deter travelers from visiting us.

With gas rates continuing to rise to unprecedented record highs, Wintergreen Resort, a four-season resort tucked in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, is doing something about it. From now until September 30, Wintergreen is offering gasoline credit of up to $50 with the presentation of a gasoline receipt.

According to Lloyd Williams, Wintergreen executive, "Our guests come to Wintergreen to escape the stress of everyday life. We don't want the rise in gas costs to deter travelers from visiting us."

Wintergreen's G.A.S. (Get Away Soon) Package is valid for Sunday-Thursday stays, and receipts (for gasoline only) will be credited toward the guest's stay. Guests who stay a minimum of two nights, need only present a receipt for gas (up to $50) to Wintergreen's front desk. Only one receipt is accepted per accommodation and the receipt must be from the gas station or pump and not handwritten.
