ISSA Launches Online Learning Center
The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) has launched an online Learning Center to allow its members access to basic security awareness courses. ISSA members are also encouraged to open their own learning centers to provide product training for end-users and customers.
OAK CREEK, WI and SEMINOLE, FL (PRWEB) September 2, 2005 --- The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) has launched an online Learning Center to allow its members access to basic security awareness courses. ISSA members are also encouraged to open their own learning centers to provide product training for end-users and customers.
In an agreement with The Security Awareness Company and Trusted Learning Corporation, the ISSA Learning Center is available to the public with courses starting at $3 per student: http://www.issa.org/learningcenter.html.
The Learning Center model gives our members an inexpensive kick start to their internal security awareness programs and the unique opportunity for their audience to utilize these services as well," said Candy Alexander, Vice President of Education for the ISSA.

The ISSA Learning Center is an online learning management system that allows individuals and organizations to register, pay for and begin taking courses immediately. Customized private schools can also be created for organizations that wish to pre-select courses offered to their audiences and pay for them in advance. Students are then given an access code and are allowed to take the courses at their leisure.
Students can bookmark the pages they want to refer back to and they take a quiz at the end of the course to evaluate their proficiency in the topic, said James Bannister, CTO of Trusted Learning Corporation. For those students in private schools, administrators track their progress and evaluate the effectiveness through our easy to use Trusted Engine."
