Pajamas For Katrina's Littlest Victims: Pajama Program And Rd Weis Companies Coordinating Pajama Drive
The New York based charitable organization Pajama Program, with the support of RD Weis Companies -- which is donating a truck and driver -- will be delivering a truckload of new pajamas and books to children in Houston and the Gulf who have been displaced due to Hurricane Katrina.
(PRWEB) September 4, 2005 -- The Pajama Program, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that provides new, cozy pajamas and books to children in need across the country and internationally, is spearheading an effort to collect sleepwear and books for children and families devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
The Pajama Program's efforts are being supported by RD Weis Companies, a Port Chester, New York-based commercial floor contracting company. The company is donating a truck and driver to deliver these "comforts of home" to the Houston Astrodome and Gulf Coast shelters next week.
The Pajama Program is collecting new pajamas (children's sizes; adult sizes will be accepted, as well, for this particular cause) and like-new books. Donations are being accepted through Thursday, September 8th at noon.
All donations of pajamas and books need to be delivered directly to: RD Weis Companies, 200 William Street, Port Chester, NY 10573. Interested donors can contact Susan Turkell at RD Weis to make arrangements: 914-937-9337 ext. 210.
