Genealogy Today Offers Rewards Program for Genealogists

This new program allows Genealogy Today's members to earn points by using the Genealogy Today Website, as well as, shopping in the marketplace or affiliated merchants.

(PRWEB) September 8, 2005 -- Genealogy Today announced that it has launched a new program which enables its members to earn points that could be exchanged for products from its marketplace.

The new program allows Genealogy Today's individual members (of Team Roots) to accumulate points by using select features on the Genealogy Today web site, as well as, shopping in the marketplace or through several affiliated merchants. Team Roots members can then make use of their points by shopping in The Marketplace at Genealogy Today, which offers more than 700 unique gifts and supply items for genealogists.

"Over the past six years we've helped millions of genealogists with their research," explained Illya D'Addezio, owner of Genealogy Today. "And part of that success has resulted from the contributions of our loyal members. Roots Rewards is our way to thank and show appreciation for all of our members and customers, whose continuous support has helped us to achieve growth year after year."

The amount of points earned varies by the offer, but it is all clearly spelled out in a special "Rewards!" section of the Team Roots area of the web site. And some of the offers even include bonuses! For example, if a member recommends our site to a friend they earn a certain number of points. If their friend then joins Team Roots, they'll earn bonus points!

"The beauty of Roots Rewards is that it is such a simple program," added Illya. "Once you signup, all you have to do is just use the site and you'll begin earning points. And if you decide to make a purchase, you'll get points for that as well."

Members also earn points when they shop at some of our affiliated merchants. They'll be provided with special links to click on that will track their spending at the merchant's site, and then they'll earn points based on the amount they spend.

The list of affiliate merchants includes Ancestry.com, MyFamily.com, Genealogy.com, Expedia.com and Verizon Wireless. A variety of merchants will be added in the future as the program grows.
