Award Winning Directory Enquirie: Best International Directory Enquiries Service 2005 is Announced

This year's prestigious 118 Awards were held at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester City Centre. Hosted by the very funny Gina Yashere the best directory enquiries services in the world have been rightly rewarded. This year's Award entrants were treated to a champagne reception and mouth watering five course meal at Manchester's first five star hotel.

(PRWEB) September 9, 2005 -- This year's prestigious 118 Awards were held at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester City Centre. Hosted by the very funny Gina Yashere the best directory enquiries services in the world have been rightly rewarded. This year's Award entrants were treated to a champagne reception and mouth watering five course meal at Manchester's first five star hotel.

This Award was open to any Directory service from around the world; judges were looking for the service which was able to demonstrate Best Practice in the areas of People Management, Service Quality & Performance Management, Training & Development, Culture & Environment, and Service Provision.

"This was a very difficult category to judge with all the entrants demonstrating excellent approaches towards delivering first class services" commented Mary Whatley of Thomson Directories, Platinum Sponsors of the Awards Event.

This year's final nominations for the Best International Service award were:

Matav -- Hungary
Sitel -- New Zealand
11888 -- Spain

The Awards judging panel was made up of experts in the market place and included representatives from The Pierz Group, Thomson Directories, Performance House, Lindley Consulting, Scansoft, Performix Technologies, Telecommunications Users Association, Volt Delta and 118tracker.com.
