Japanese Online Auction Site Has Now Been Launched for the First Time in the UK

Brand new and the very first Japanese online auctions site in Europe is launched in the UK, which is like eBay or Yahoo Japan Auctions (the biggest online auctions in Japan) but all in Japanese language and based in the UK. The idea has come from a Japanese lady who lives in the UK and was recently made redundant by a Japanese company.

(PRWEB) September 8, 2005 -- J-Auctions.co.uk was built by a Japanese lady who has lives in London for more than 20 years and a mother of a three-year-old boy. She has recently been made redundant by a Japanese company when they decided to close their London office.

In the last year or so she was buying and selling items on eBay.co.uk and wondering if there was an online auction site for Japanese in the UK so she could sell Japanese items, like books written in Japanese, videos and DVD's using a Japanese system and language etc., which would only be suitable for Japanese people, too.

So when she lost her job, she invested the redundancy payment from the company and launched the site. She worked with a Web design company who are based in London and software developer in the US, and it took five months since she first came up with the idea.

On J-Auctions.co.uk, the systems are very similar to eBay, they charge for listing items (fixed price) and % of the last item price. Users can sell their items by normal auction style, Fixed Price, Buy It Now, Reserved Price, Batch Auction or Trade Offer. So therefore it is suitable for individuals, traders and even people in Japan and the US, can list their items to export from Japan/USA or maybe buy products from Europe.
