Soapsongs.com is extending its free CD single offer with purchase of a Songs-Of-The-Soaps CD, with proceeds to be contributed to hurricane relief and the song offered free to relief organizations.

SoapSongs.com announced today the indefinite extension of its free CD single offer of the Brad Hatfield/Michael Kisur song "Sunshine" to purchasers of one or more volumes of Songs Of The Soaps. Proceeds of the sales will be donated to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

The song will also be made available to any non-profit organization involved in the recovery work that desires to make use of the song’s inspiring message to give aid and comfort to the storm’s victims. SoapSongs.com will provide copies of the song – recently featured once again on the September 2, 2005 television broadcast of the top-rated daytime drama The Young and the Restless – to any organization that requests a copy for use in its storm recovery efforts.

In announcing this offer, Barbara Jordan of SoapSongs.com said, "Although this beautiful and haunting song was written a short time before the recent storm, its message of hope and renewal in the face of overwhelming challenges is uncannily appropriate to the situation now facing so many in the storm’s aftermath. It’s almost as if the songwriters had a premonition of what was to come. I don’t think anyone could listen to the song without thinking of the storm’s victims and crying for them. But the amazing thing about "Sunshine" is that even while you are crying, the song is gently lifting your spirits in anticipation of a new and brighter day that will eventually dawn. I hope many many people will somehow get the chance to share this profound hope. It’s the reason we are extending our free CD offer, and also making the song available to any organization that will be helped by it."

The "Sunshine" free CD single along with the first three volumes of Songs Of The Soaps are available at http://www.soapsongs.com. A portion of the proceeds from all sales registered on the site between September 6, 2005 and the end of the year will be donated to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
