In response to animal rescue efforts following Hurricane Katrina, Furfection, Inc. is collecting online donations for the Humane Society of the U.S. Disaster Relief Fund. The company announced it would also match the first $1000.00 it collected.
Furfection owner, Pamela Madden, said, "Donating to animal charities is the best way to help pet owners retrieve their lost animals right now. I can't imagine being forced to leave any of my pets behind in a disaster. They're members of my family, and either they would come with me or I'd stay with them."
Those wanting to donate can do so at http://www.furfection.com, or they can mail their checks, made payable to "HSUS Disaster Relief Fund," to Furfection, Inc., PO Box 390246, Mountain View, CA 94039-0246.
