Record Label Donates Profits To Help Katrina Victims
Rhythm Signal Records & Productions donates all cdbaby.com sales from Steve Sosa and Rhythm Signal albums to help Katrina Victims.
(PRWEB) September 9, 2005 -- More than 5,000 independent musicians, including Steve Sosa and Rhythm Signal of Rhythm Signal Records & Productions, have joined together to donate their profits from CD sales to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in an effort to help those affected by hurricane Katrina.
Throughout the month of September Rhythm Signal Records & Productions will donate the entire profits for each copy of Steve Sosa's acoustic guitar classic CD "Day's End" and Rhythm Signal's progressive, experimental rock CD "Unexpected Improv" that are sold through www.cdbaby.com.
Rhythm Signal Records owner, Jason Anderson left this comment at the label's website. "This is a great way for people to experience new music while also knowing that their money has gone to a good cause helping those in need. Even if someone is not interested in the Steve Sosa CD or the Rhythm Signal CD, I am sure they will find another artist's music on cdbaby's red cross list that will appeal to their tastes. Unlike a major record label, we are a small, independent label where every penny counts, but the amount of money that we will lose is nothing when compared to what many people in Louisiana and Mississippi have lost."
So far the response has been tremendous. In only eight days, Steve Sosa's "Day's End" CD sales and Rhythm Signal's "Unexpected Improv" CD sales have more than doubled their monthly average sales.
