KUA Joins Hurricane Katrina Restoration Effort for a Second Time

Kissimmee Utility Authority has sent two of its contract tree trimming crews to Gulfport, Miss. to restore power to customers impacted by Hurricane Katrina. A third crew may be dispatched to the region later this week.

Kissimmee, FL (PRWEB) September 9, 2005 -- Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has rejoined the massive effort to restore power to customers impacted by Hurricane Katrina.

The utility has sent two of its contract tree trimming crews to Gulfport, Miss. A third crew may be dispatched to the region later this week.

KUA sent line crews and tree trimming crews to south Florida in August to help restore power after Hurricane Katrina made its initial landfall before heading to the Gulf Coast.
