Americas Biggest July Music Winners

- First place: 2nd Day Crush (Band, California)
- Second place: All Good Citizens (Band, South Carolina)

First place winners, Los Angeles-based band 2nd Day Crush worked hard to win, sending out announcements to their many fans and encouraging them to vote. We knew we had amazing friends and fans, but this really surprised us", said vocalist Chris Drizen. People we didnt even know were voting for us, some over 200 times. Old friends, ex-girlfriends, and extended family were voting and we had no idea. Were truly grateful."

Bassist Rick Barrio Dill explained what will become of their well-earned $5,000 prize. We plan on using the money to get us on the road and put together some really hot 2DC gear to offer to our fans. Were also planning on using a portion to finance a killer video to be released soon."

Determined to offer an alternative promotion vehicle for artists, America's Biggest debuted with a soft-launch of its website and talent contest on July 4th, 2005.

"We started by connecting with a small group of solo artists and bands that had heard about the contest through word-of-mouth, message boards, blogs, and newsgroups," said America's Biggest Executive Producer Lisa Sirlin. "It's gratifying to see the contestants working hard to get their fans to register and vote, thereby increasing their chances of winning. Our grass-roots effort is growing - musicians are thrilled that America's Biggest helps level the playing field and allows the artists the chance to be creative in how they market themselves."

America's Biggest will continue in its soft-launch phase through Fall of 2005 to refine its technology and build on current grass roots momentum.
