The Reality Cares Foundation at The Giving Back Fund, an organization created to inspire a new spirit of philanthropy among a younger group of television stars and viewers, announced today that they will be hosting a benefit to help raise donations for hurricane Katrina victims.
The event will be hosted at the Spider Club at Avalon, 1735 North Vine St., Hollywood, CA 90028, on September 10, 2005 from 8pm to 2am. A donation of $10.00 is suggested at the door and all donations will be given to the American Red Cross.
Reality star attendees for the event include Josh Souza and Erika Landin of "Big Brother," Steven Hill and Jenna Lewis of "Kill Reality," Shanna Ferrigno of "Filthy Rich," Nick Warnock of "The Apprentice," Reichen Lehmkuhl of "The Amazing Race," Ruthie Alcaide and Mallory Snyder of "The Real World," Jim Verraros of "American Idol," and many others. Reality stars will be coming together to draw out their fans and supporters as well as those who would like to help the hurricane victims in their time of need.
"We are all shocked by the horrors that Hurricane Katrina has wreaked on the residents of the Gulf States," said Todd Michael Krim, Founder of The Reality Cares Foundation. "Our reality stars have expressed an interest in doing all they can to help individuals and families who are struggling during this very difficult time."
