Goldstein Lewin & Co., Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, is pleased to announce the promotion of Arthur P. Kobrin, CPA, to Senior Audit Manager. In this capacity, he manages audit and related services for not-for-profit organizations and public companies and oversees audit staff training.
Prior to joining Goldstein Lewin, Mr. Kobrin was employed as Chief Financial Officer by a NASDAQ listed company where he was responsible for all facets of the accounting functions, including the preparation of Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
According to Mr. Kobrin, "The Sarbanes-Oxley Act has also caused increasing scrutiny of not-for-profit organizations. As a result, many are establishing stricter internal controls, instituting more efficient procedures for financial reporting, and increasing the responsibilities of Audit Committee members."
"ArthurÂs knowledge of and experience with public company and not-for-profit internal controls, audit, and reporting requirements make him a valuable resource for the firm and our clients," states Donald J. Goldstein, CPA, Co-Managing Partner of Goldstein Lewin & Co. "He has also proven to be an exceptional mentor to our audit staff."
An honors graduate of the University of Hartford, Mr. Kobrin has almost 20 years of accounting experience. During this time, he has provided accounting and tax services for entities involved in a variety of industries.
