Regency Hospital of Covington located in Covington, Louisiana has located approximately 100 of its staff of 120. The hospital is concerned about its employees and the physicians it has not been able to contact since Hurricane Katrina struck last week.
The company has set up an Employee/Family Relief Line to get information quickly to its staff. The phone number is 678-643-2370. Regency would like all staff members who have not been able to make contact to call the Relief line or call Regency Hospital of Covington directly.
Regency Hospital of Covington's building was not harmed in the storm, and the hospital plans to reopen next week should the hospital be able to staff appropriately. Ms. Janet Rail, Vice President of Clinical Services stated, ÂWe still need more acute care clinicians and physicians to help us at the hospital. If there is anyone out there that is available, please call the hospital at 985-867-3977 or the Regency Relief Line. We need more help.Â
Regency Hospital Company is committed to helping its employees and other healthcare workers struck by the hurricane. Last week, the company created the Regency Cares Foundation, a nonprofit organization to specifically help those Regency employees and other healthcare workers affected by Hurricane Katrina. ÂWe want to let the people of Louisiana and Mississippi know that we love and support them. That is what the Regency Cares Foundation is all aboutÂ, said Rod Laughlin, President and CEO.
