eCycle and J. Graham Engineering Collaborate On High End Electric Outboard
eCycle and J. Graham Engineering collaborate on high end electric outboard based on a Yamaha High Thrust 8hp gas outboard.
Temple, PA (PRWEB) September 11, 2005 -- eCycle is pleased to announce a cooperative project with J. Graham Engineering, Inc. located in Westminster, Maryland.
Under the collaborative arrangement, eCycle, Inc. and J. Graham Engineering, Inc. will build high powered electric outboards based on the Yamaha High Thrust 8hp outboard. This product will replace the gasoline engine with eCycles innovative CMG Silicon Series" brushless motor. The result is an electric outboard with unprecedented power, performance and efficiency. Liquid cooling, power tilt and suitability for salt water use are standard features.
The new electric outboards will operate at 36 & 72VDC and will be marketed for sport fishing and commercial applications. Pleasure craft such as pontoon boats will also benefit from the outboard. The conversion will be done in Maryland by J. Graham Engineering, Inc.
The outboard is environmentally friendly, conforming to CARB 2006 standards, which are perfect for emission and fossil fuel restricted waterways.
The new electric outboard will be available thru James Graham Engineering, Inc.
