Fotothing Comes To the Rescue of Bloggers Flick'd Off by Yahoo

Fotothing the photo sharing and blogging Website, is welcoming disgruntled members of Yahoo-owned competitor Flickr.

(PRWEB) September 13, 2005 -- Fotothing (www.fotothing.com), the photo sharing and blogging Website, is welcoming disgruntled members of Yahoo-owned competitor Flickr.

Flickr users who object to the enforced migration of their accounts to Yahoo's network next year and are concerned about what this convergence may lead to are now able to register on Fotothing to get a free 'PRO' subscription account. This will enable them to:

*   Upload up to 15 photos per day
*   Receive up to 100 comments per photo
*   Upload photos of up to 2Mb in size
*   Add up to 200 friends
*   Eliminate banner ads or Google ads on
        the site
*   Have their name highlighted in the
        member directory and 'online' list.
*   Have improved JPEG quality for their
        photos

Fotobloggers simply go to: www.fotothing.com and click 'Join now' on the side menu or at the top of the page. From here they fill out just six fields of a form and include their Flickr ID. They are then ready to upload their pictures and share their world with Fotothing's friendly online community. The site does not spam or give out customer email addresses.

After the free month trial of the PRO account, new users can simply continue to upload their pictures with a free account or pay under $3.00 (around 1.60) a month to carry on using their PRO account. Existing Fotothing members who have a Flickr account as well can also take advantage of the offer. They just need to email with their Flickr ID and current Fotothing ID.

"Fotothing prides itself on its close-knit community feel and is a welcoming alternative destination for those disillusioned by the direction some fotoblogging Websites are taking. Site competition is great news for bloggers as services will continue to get better and better as a result," commented Clem Chambers for Fotothing.
