Jeanette Stark, author of The Katrina Myth, grew up in the South and graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College. Later at this small liberal arts college she assisted as a volunteer incoming freshmen in English composition. She has taught in the classroom as a substitute teacher, filled various positions in a bank and worked in several libraries in addition to serving on Friends of the Library Board at North Carolina Wesleyan College. Her non-fiction work has appeared in these periodicals: Evangel, Unity, and The Annals of Sainte Anne de Beaupre.

The Katrina Myth is a fantasy fiction book about the destruction of Earth and sequel to The Last Leap. Both were written to express her concern over the despoiling of the environment. Stark is also the author of Old Woman, a haunted love story due to be released next month.
