Gable-Cook-Schmid PR (GCS-PR) Promotes Chidester, Adds Talent in Media, Visual Communication

The San Diego-based firm has promoted Jennifer Chidester to director and named Maya Del Guidice as account executive and Jenna Gaspar as assistant account executive, providing additional talent for the Airport Authority, San Diego Film Festival, Lankford & Associates and other clients.

Gable-Cook-Schmid Public Relations (GCS-PR) today announced that Jennifer Chidester, a top producer of client results, has been promoted to director from account manager. In addition, Maya Del Guidice and Jenna Gaspar have joined the firm as account executive and assistant account executive, respectively.

“Jennifer has delivered incredible results for some of our most complex clients, including the San Diego Trolley, the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and the San Diego Film Festival,” said Rick Cook, co-founder and partner in GCS. “She has been taking on more strategic responsibilities and also plays a key role in mentoring and supporting younger staff members. The promotion is well-deserved.”

Chidester has been with the firm since its founding in 2001 and was previously a senior account executive at The Gable Group. She has earned numerous awards for client programs, including national honors for her work with the San Diego Film Festival. In addition to her agency responsibilities, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies at San Diego State University.

Del Guidice and Gaspar will support on the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority plus other GCS clients including Lankford & Associates, C.W. Clark Commercial Real Estate Development, UCSD Extension, San Diego Dialogue and new lodging, hospitality and tourism accounts.

Prior to joining GCS, Del Guidice spent five years as media director of a Seattle-based ad agency, specializing in advertising and outreach campaigns for education, government and nonprofit organizations. She has designed, produced and managed local and national campaigns and been instrumental in the development of cause-related marketing partnerships. Her work has garnered numerous Telly Awards, Summit Creative Awards and two International Broadcasting Awards, among others.

Previously, Del Guidice was a member of the writing and production team for a Washington, DC political consulting firm; managed media for an environmental engineering firm; and successfully planned gala events for the Seattle International Film Festival.

Gaspar’s experience includes the marketing department of Saucony athletic footwear and clothing and as a public relations assistant at San Diego public relations firm Roni Hicks and Associates. Most recently, Jenna served as marketing coordinator for the San Diego Better Business Bureau where she assisted in the production of the Better Business Bureau's Consumer Expo, Golf Classic and Annual Torch Awards.

Gaspar is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Mass Communication from San Diego State University where she is focusing on visual communication and its application to public relations and advertising.
