Birmingham, MI (PRWEB) September 15, 2005
W.O.E Records artist J-ROC and his first album "This Kid's on FIRE" is standing tall in the rap ring of independents. Available on MP3Tunes.com site since February 2005 (initial site launch) through their own deal with CDBaby.com. J-ROC started gaining momentum on the download charts by late May.
Since then, J-ROC has been throwing uppercuts as if he were in a boxing match with a Kronk gym fighter. Round by round, J-ROC's punched his climb all the way up to the #2 spot in the Hip-Hop/Rap and Kid Friendly categories. This is the second time within a month's period as of 9/12/05. J-ROC first charted at #2 on 8/13/05.
Swishahouse Records popular artist Paul Wall's album "Chick Magnet" has been competing back and fourth alongside J-ROC in the TOP 10. "I know he will by far out sell me. Paul Wall is popular and mainstream. But, it's nice to know that even if for a few days I can out chart him," states J-ROC.
A sales driven chart system, MP3Tunes.com gives artist an "Express URL." Its a unique and individually taylored tag which leads online buyers directly to (in this case J-ROC) an artist cd buy/listen page. "It wasn't until June when we started to take notice and began to seriously promote the "Express URL" MP3Tunes.com provides," says W.O.E (pronouced WOE) Records President and CEO Mr. Dwayne Thomas.
By promoting J-ROC's unique Epress URL tag "http://www.MP3Tunes.com/J-ROC", W.O.E Records has seen their young artist in the Top 10 Charts for over 8 weeks now. Looking for creative places to gain fans they placed it in chat rooms, groups and boards among other places on the net. It's the mandatory signature of all http://www.WOERecords.com outgoing email.
Mr. Thomas explains, "Our initial goal was to gain sales and chart alongside BIG CHRIS, an indie rap artist out of Colorado who maintained the #1 spot for many weeks. Then Paul Wall, whose now a "big name" mainstream rapper showed up on the same charts and it's been a battle for the title spot ever since."
Competing with 56,434 independent artist, 365,793 songs and 31,979 albums overall, J-ROC's This Kid's on FIRE rap cd has been heating up the MP3Tunes.com charts giving his elders a long fight. Located in both Hip-Hop/Rap and Kid Friendly categories, J-ROC feeds the need for his same age peers by offering clean and fun lyrics over bangin' beats. In the same sound, J-ROC lets the rap music scene know that he's holding no punches and oneday plans to TKO his way into mainstream music lovers ears.
