2005 Miss Washtenaw County Scholarship Pageant Call for Entries
Competition Provides Young Women of Livingston and Washtenaw Counties Financial Support for College
Chelsea, MI (PRWEB) September 15, 2005 -- The Miss Washtenaw County Scholarship Program announces its call for contestant entries for the annual Miss Washtenaw County competition to be held at Chelsea High School in Chelsea, Mich., November 5, 2005. The winner of the event will represent Washtenaw County at the Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to Miss America.
Young women between the ages of 17 and 24, who are either a resident, full-time student, or employed full time in Washtenaw or Livingston Counties are invited to register for the competition. Contestants will be judged in five categories including: interview, talent, evening gown, casual wear and swimsuit. There is no entry fee to this competition.

The Miss Washtenaw County Scholarship Program, a local division of the Miss America Organization, is a volunteer organization responsible for operating the annual Miss Washtenaw County Pageant. Since its inception in 1994, the Miss Washtenaw County Scholarship Program has awarded nearly $75,000 in scholarships to young women, giving them an opportunity to further their personal and professional goals. Involved in community service, fundraising, contestant recruitment and pageant development, the Miss Washtenaw County Scholarship Program is a preliminary to the annual Miss Michigan Pageant.
