"There are enemy soldiers on American soil. The names of these soldiers are Heart Disease, Cancer and Stroke. They are killing over 3,000 Americans a day." This is how Col. Weinstein kicked off the Men’s Health seminar.

On September 1st, 2005 at the Corporate Headquarters of Sony Latin America in Miami, Florida, retired Army Reserve Lt. Colonel Bob Weinstein inspired and energized the Men on “Men’s Health” with his highly interactive seminar.

Colonel Weinstein who is a speaker, writer and beach boot camp instructor with over 30 years of leadership experience covered the course objectives of

  •      Explaining the benefits of good health
  •     Identifying the components of good health
  •     Listing the steps necessary to achieving and maintaining a healthy life

Some of the tips Col. Weinstein touched on were:

  •      Eat a balanced diet low in fats.
  •     Avoid processed foods.
  •     Exercise regularly.
  •     Seek opportunities to move the body during daily activities at work or at home.
  •     See a doctor for regular check-ups.
  •     Help someone in need by performing community service.
  •     Think long-term consequences when designing your lifestyle.

Asked about his motivating factor to address specifically men on men’s health, Col. Weinstein responded, "My uncle passed away with emphysema a couple of years ago. He was a smoker. It was cigarettes that caused this disease. He did not want to die. It really wasn’t his time, except that he contributed to his early death by how he lived. It is so important to think long-term consequences with all that we do whether it relates to health, relationships, work or family. Everything we do and think has consequences for us personally as well as others. We participate in modeling behavior by how we design our lifestyles."
