Have you ever been told "You should be a comedian?" The chances are great that the thought of an entertainment career has crossed your mind. But the idea of working for low pay in smoky bars for years on end does not usually have much appeal to the executive, working professional or business leader who already commands a hefty income.
But what if there were a program designed exclusively to train naturally funny professionals - executives, attorneys, doctors, sales professionals, educators, business owners and business leaders - how to develop and market a high level comedy routine in only 12 weeks? Stand-up comedy guru Steve Roye is prepared to launch just such a program in the next several weeks if he can locate the right people for the program.
Roye is conducting a survey now on his Killerstandup.com website for a new program called The Corporate Stand-up Comedy Fast Track Program. According to Roye, it is possible for a naturally funny individual to develop a high level comedy routine in a matter of hours instead of years using the right tools and philosophy. He is also quick to point out that a 20-30 minute clean comedy act can easily command $500-$1,000 per performance in the corporate marketplace right from the beginning.
"The corporate marketplace is truly a huge hidden entertainment market" states Roye. "Companies have events, banquets, luncheons, and the like all the time and they are usually stuck with the same old band or DJ entertainment. There are simply not enough comedians that understand the professional nature of the corporate culture or can deliver an act that is appropriate for that market. So the market is wide open for the individual who has a clean act and knows how to market it like any other product or service."
Funny individuals that qualify for the program do not have to ditch their day job in order to develop a part-time or full time, high paying comedy career. The Corporate Stand-up Comedy Fast Track Program requires only an 8 hour commitment to the program per week beyond the telephone seminars and teleconferences that make up the program.
Roye plans to personally qualify and work closely with only 20 individuals in the 12-week Corporate Stand-up Comedy Fast Track Program.
"There are people out there that work 50-70 hours per week to make $40K to $60K per year. If you have a corporate clean comedy act that really kills and you know how to market that act, you can make that same money working 50-70 hours per year," he said. "But just like anything else, it requires discipline, dedication, a success mindset and some talent."
