The Twin Cities Chocolate Extravaganza, the ultimate sampling and shopping event for chocolate lovers, is returning for its second year on November 12-13, 2005 at International Market Square, Minneapolis, MN. Guests may sample chocolates, coffee, and wine and shop for unique and delicious holiday gifts. Local chefs and culinary students will keep guests entertained as they perform demonstrations. Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 16, 2005 --- The Twin Cities Chocolate Extravaganza is returning for its second annual show on November 12-13, 2005 at International Market Square, located at 275 Market Street, Minneapolis, MN. Show hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Last years event attracted nearly 3,000 chocolate lovers. This years show is again open to the public and will feature abundant samples of local chocolates, coffee, and wine. Guests may shop for unique and delicious holiday gifts, attend live demonstrations from local food experts, view competition pieces where chocolate turns into art, and visit the VimLab Chocolate Lounge for a more intimate, high end chocolate and wine sampling experience. Over 70 prizes will be raffled off, including vacation packages to Orlando and Las Vegas. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Minnesota to help make wishes of seriously ill children come true.
Local culinary celebrity, Andrew Zimmern, will perform a live broadcast from the event for his FM107 radio show Chowhounds. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to witness some of Twin Cities great chefs fuse their respective talents with chocolate in Dacors gourmet demonstration kitchen. Both amateur and professional pastry chefs will compete for the top prize in four categories: chocolate plated desserts, chocolate wedding cakes, chocolate showpieces, and chocolate confections.
