Taoist Training Season Kicks Off With Low-Cost, Easy-Access Weekend

Would-be adepts of the Mantak Chia school of Taoism gather for two days of stress management, qi gong and spiritual connection at the first training course of the season over Saturday and Sunday 24th and 25th September at the London Tao Centre.

(PRWEB) September 16, 2005 -- Kris Deva North, Taoist Master-Trainer and Mantak Chias UK representative, facilitates two intensive days of the first step in the training cycle.

You can become an even more effective person" says Kris. Taoist practices lead to better grounding, flexibility, and increased energy. You learn how to transform stress into vitality and get a better sense of yourself, discovering your own hidden resources for making yourself a better life."

Course content includes the first steps to learning the Microcosmic Orbit, secrets of the Inner Smile and Healing Sounds, Iron-Shirt Chi-kung (qi gong), and the complexities of Taoist breath-practice.

The Healing Sounds are cooling and the Inner Smile energizing. Both cleanse the organs, recycle negativity and the effects of stress.
The Microcosmic Orbit is the ancient foundation for the threefold path of Self-development, Healing, and Martial Arts. Iron Shirt Chi Kung (QiGong) teaches rooting, centering and body-awareness. The effects are increased vitality, stamina, enhanced ability to fight disease and greater protection from injury, whether physical, emotional or spiritual.

According to the Taoist classics, 'a Journey of a Thousand Miles begins with a single step. This is the journey which leads so many people to become even more effective human beings: in their own terms, in their own time, through the process of harmonization: mind, body and spirit learn to work together, to be at ease together, to live together.

Kris Deva North has evolved powerful training programs to guide participants towards inner harmony. I help you begin to develop a form of daily practice to integrate with your own personal life-situation. To help others you need first to help yourself. By knowing where you stand within yourself, you can be more effective in the work-place, the market-place, the home and the family."

Kris has been involved in healing meditation since 1972 and Taoist practice for over 20 years. In 1993 he founded the London Tao Centre, Chi Nei Tsang Institute and Zen School of Shiatsu and more recently the Zen Shiatsu Society. He integrates Mantak Chias Taoist traditions with modern Life-training techniques from the Mind Dynamics of the 1970s to Richard Bandler and Paul McKenna neuro-linguistic programming of the new millennium.

The Step 1 Foundations of Taoist Practice is an ideal introduction for both women and men, singles and couples, young and old.
Venue: The London Tao Centre, 19/21 Phipp Street, London EC2A 4NP
Two days, 24th and 25th September, course fee 197.
The only pre-requisite is an open mind. Beginners are welcome.
