Ohio International Family Conference Places Emphasis on Pope's Plans for Building Family, Neighborhoods and Parishes

This year's October family conference in Ohio will bring to a close the 'Year of the Eucharist' that Pope John Paul II declared to begin in October of 2004. Conference speakers will include Bishop Roger Foys; Christine Vollmer, member of the Pope's committee on the family; Dr. Scott Hahn; Kimberly Hahn; Marianne Presberg, Bill Federer; Familyland Television personalities Fr. Kevin Barrett, Fr. Bernard Geiger, and Jerry Coniker, co-founder with his late wife Gwen, of the Apostolate For Family Consecration.

Bloomingdale, OH (PRWEB) September 19, 2005 -- Catholic Familyland, the 950-acre center in the rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio, will host its 17th International Totus Tuus Consecrate Them in Truth" Family Conference this October 14-16, 2005. Conference talks will focus on The Eucharist: Uniting and Empowering Families for the New Evangelization."

The goal of this event is to strengthen familial relationships through a variety of discussions, informative presentations and activities, all presented in the form of three specialized conferences -- one designed specifically for adults, another for teenagers and a third for young children.

We hope to give participants of all ages the opportunity to learn how the Eucharist must be the main factor in building up their family, parish, and neighborhood, we do this through the three conferences in one -- talks for the adults, sessions and activities for the youth and children," stated Jerry Coniker, father of 13 and co-founder with Gwen of Catholic Familyland and Familyland TV Network.

Conference speakers include Bishop Roger Foys; Dr. Scott Hahn; Kimberly Hahn; Christine Vollmer, member of the Pope's committee for the Family; Marianne Presberg, mother of 12 and author on parenting; Bill Federer, historian, speaker and best-selling author; Familyland Television personalities Fr. Kevin Barrett, Fr. Bernard Geiger, and Jerry Coniker, co-founder with his late wife Gwen, of the Apostolate for Family Consecration.

A musical performance will include the renowned Donna Lee.

Catholic Familyland is a ministry of the Apostolate for Family Consecration. Founded in 1975 as a multi-media international outreach, the Apostolate's largest center (950 acres) is Catholic Familyland, located in Bloomingdale, Ohio. Other centers are in Manila for Asia; and an 18-building center in Mexico serving all of Latin America. A new center is starting in Nigeria (Onitsha Archdiocese) for Africa, and members also work in Belgium, Europe, Canada, Pakistan and Russia as well as throughout Asia, Africa, and Central and South America.
