Rocker Stacey Evans Delivers Songwriting Dynamite with "A Slender Thread"
Los Angeles singer/songwriter Stacey Evans has released her long awaited album "A Slender Thread."
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2005 -- Los Angeles rock singer/songwriter Stacey Evans is privileged to announce the release of "A Slender Thread": her debut solo LP on Hyperfocus Records. Evan's vocals and acoustic guitars are backed up by a unique band that includes bassist Bob Birch of the Elton John Band, lead guitarist Paul Warren of Rod Stewart's band, and drummer/producer Jimmy Hunter whose credits include working with Ray Manzarek of The Doors. "A Slender Thread" is now available at www.staceyevans.com and CD Baby. Digital downloads will be offered worldwide on iTunes, MusicMatch, and dozens of other downloading stores by the end of September.
The ten tracks on "A Slender Thread" reflect strong roots in classic rock with a good dose of 70's and 80's pop sensibility. Evan's vocals have been described as a cross between Heart's Ann Wilson and Olivia Newton John. The album aims to deliver rock solid songwriting from beginning to end; with the music to make you feel electrified and the words to make you feel understood.
In the San Antonio, TX newspaper, "The Paisano," music reviewer Robert Jerdee writes, "Evans vocals are at worst wonderful and at best hauntingly beautiful." Music critic Dave Miller of the Houston, TX newspaper "North of the Border" says, "Stacey's realistic lyrics and vocals are easily understood; soothing and gentle in parts, but angry and outspoken in others. Stacey has a lot to say and sings it well!"
Stacey Evans is an independent artist from Austin, TX. She moved to Los Angeles to write, record, and release "A Slender Thread" on her label Hyperfocus Records. She is also an award winner in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition.
