PowerOne, Central Floridas provider of high-tech communications, Internet and computer services for the past 30 years, has planned a benefit event to help fund the educations of motivated Lake County students seeking technology training.

Tavares, FL (PRWEB) September 18, 2005 -- PowerOne, Central Floridas provider of high-tech communications, Internet and computer services for the past 30 years, has planned a benefit event to help fund the educations of motivated Lake County students seeking technology training.

The PowerOne Technology Fund will provide financial assistance to technology-hungry students, and help make their career goals a reality. PowerOne seeks sponsors and players to contribute to this valuable endowment to local education.

On October 8, 2005, at the Deer Island Country Club, the First Annual PowerOne Golf Tournament will help the company reach its goal of $30,000 to fund this highly-promoted cause, and will be a day of fun, food and prizes no golf enthusiast will want to miss.

Contributors can help in several ways:
1.   Sponsor the event with a financial investment
2.   Contribute products, services and/or advertising
3.   Participate in the tournament as an individual or team player

All players will receive a door prize, lunch and beverages. Key features of the event include special games and prizes throughout the day, and a raffle for an amazing grand prize.

PowerOne anticipates a highly successful and well-attended outing and is confident of reaching its fundraising goal. The company invites all businesses and individual members of the community to become part of this highly visible and worthwhile cause, which will not only benefit local students, but Lake Countys economic future as well.

Current sponsors include PowerOne, 3Com, Hewlett Packard, Sprint, Cecil Clark Chevrolet, CTI Signs, Ford Press, ERA Neil Fischer Realty & Investments, Showcase Homes, Avvent, Inc., Data Graphics and Carpet Depot.

Registration is at 7:30 a.m., at Deer Island Golf and Country Club.
