Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2005 -- When Carl Kolchak returns to chase ghouls and vampires in the ABC remake of the television classic Night Stalker, Entity FX, Inc. will be there to help portray whats lurking in the darkness. Entity FXs award winning VFX team created all the visual effects for the pilot and the first season.
Mat Beck, VFX Supervisor and President of Entity FX, "Some of these shots are reminiscent of X-Files in the way that the scary stuff is more often hinted at than completely revealed; its good suspenseful story telling. The Genesis HiDef camera gives us a lot of power to manipulate images in the shadows."
Stuart Townsend plays the lead character Carl Kolchak and Gabrielle Union plays a fellow reporter. Frank Spotnitz, executive producer of The X Files, is creator of the new series, with Dan Sackheim executive producing. The series premiers Thursday, September 29 at 9pm on ABC.
Entity is also beginning its fourth season supplying High Def visual effects for WBs hit series Smallville. In addition, all the Visual Effects for the pilot of WBs new show Supernatural bore the Entity stamp.
On the feature film side, Entity recently completed work on Disneys summer blockbuster Herbie: Fully Loaded, starring Lindsay Lohan. For the film, Entity produced a variety of photo-real action shots involving multiple fully CG Herbies along with dozens of CG NASCAR racers, an entire CG California raceway and 100,000 CG fans.
