Prices for gas at stations on the Monterey Peninsula vary widely. Our free, local site is tracking the best places to buy gas during your visit to our area until prices stabalize. Currently, prices vary by as much as 34 cents per gallon within a one mile radius.

Monterey, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2005 -- High gas prices are having an impact on the amount of tourist visiting the Monterey Peninsula this Fall. With fuel prices topping $3 per gallon, filling up a car to travel to the Monterey Peninsula is more expensive than ever.

As of September 16, 2005, there was a wide range of prices for gasoline. Even within the city of Monterey, regular unleaded ranged from a low of $2.75 per gallon up to $3.09 per gallon -- a difference of 34 cents per gallon.
