Church of England Selects SAP from Sapphire to Integrate and Improve Financial Accounting Processes
Sapphire chosen to supply and implement a 120 user finance and treasury Management system based on the mySAP All-in-One solution.
LONDON, UK (PRWEB) September 21, 2005 -- Sapphire today announced that the Church of England National Institutions (NCIs) will implement a 120-user mySAP All-in-One system to provide a single accounting system for the combined accounts department of the four main NCIs -- the Archbishops Council, the Church Commissioners for England, the Church of England Pensions Board and Lambeth Palace. The new solution will offer financials, treasury and real estate management that will help the NCIs to improve data access and reporting, and management of their extensive property portfolio.
The NCIs intend to use mySAP All-in-One to replace three separate accounting solutions currently in use. Paul Tibbins at CofE explains The NCIs merged their accounts departments to provide a more efficient and effective service, and so we needed to find a solution that could fit all the different requirements needed to manage their financial processes. Although the existing systems have served our NCIs well, the merging of the departments, together with the rapid forward movement in technology modernisation, made this move absolutely essential for us."
The NCIs chose SAP because it meets complex and sophisticated business process requirements and can incorporate a number of non-standard processing requirements that are unique to the NCIs. Paul adds the team also felt the key differentials in choosing SAP are a combination of their market strength and the ability to offer us a technology that is future-proofed through SAPs extensive investment in research and development".
In selecting Sapphire to supply and install the system, Paul comments Sapphire has a demonstrable track record in offering Not-for-Profit financial accounting expertise. This combined with the fact that they were pleasant and straightforward in all their dealings with us made us feel that they would make the ideal partner for the system implementation."
Rob Waters, responsible for the implementation at SAP said the flexibility of SAP will enable the centralized accounts department to provide an effective and efficient service, while the extensive depth of the SAP suite will bring ongoing benefits to many areas within the Church of England NCIs".
Ian Caswell, Sapphires Managing Director concludes: We are delighted that the Church of England NCIs have chosen the mySAP All-in-One solution to manage their financial processes. We look forward to supporting them as they restructure their accounting operations to build for an efficient and responsive organisation that offers the best service possible to their stakeholders."
