Industry's most complete, current solution offers same accurate, up-to-date diagnostics as flagship bundled.

Global leader in reducing PC manufacturing, support and service costs through diagnostic and system information solutions, today introduced PC-Doctor® Service Center™ 5, the industry's most complete and current solution available for technicians and others responsible for servicing PCs.

PC-Doctor Service Center 5 is an integrated suite of PC diagnostics, system information tools and hardware test devices that enables fast, effective diagnosis of hardware issues -- even on systems that will not boot into the existing operating system. The software includes both Windows and DOS versions of PC-Doctor's industry-leading diagnostic software.

"Service Center 5 offers the same accurate and up-to-date system diagnostics and system information tools as the PC-Doctor software bundled by top PC manufacturers," said Doug van Aman, the company's chief marketing officer. "Like its predecessors, we anticipate it will become an essential tool used by leading authorized service providers for major brands around the world."

Based on the PC-Doctor 5 architecture introduced earlier this year, Service Center 5 is ideal for PC repair centers, mobile PC technicians, enterprise PC service organizations and warranty repair centers. It also is used by low-volume PC manufacturers and hobbyists to verify new systems.

The 200-plus diagnostic tests and comprehensive system information are available in just 15 seconds and are accessed through an easy-to-use, intuitive graphical user interface. The software runs directly from CD or can be installed to the hard drive. A PCI POST card is included for testing when the operating system will not boot properly. Service Center 5 also allows technicians to save test results, which helps to keep track of customer issues.

Service Center 5 is available immediately in English and Japanese for a suggested retail price of $499; volume discounts are also available. The package includes the bootable diagnostic and system information CD, test media for CD and DVD drives, loopback devices for USB, game, serial, audio and parallel ports, a network test device, a PCI POST card, power supply tester, USB test device, USB license dongle for Windows testing, and a quick-start guide. It also includes one free diagnostic update during the next 12 months.

Service Center 5 can be purchased directly from the PC-Doctor website as well as from the company's authorized resellers: Software House International, Software Plus, ASAP Software and Metafore IT Solutions in North America and from ASK K.K. in Japan.
