Members of the Kappa Psi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon announce with deep sadness the passing of Frater Ricardo Petrillo from Westport, CT, on September 18, 2005.

"The brothers of our chapter are heavily wounded by the loss, and we are grateful for the faith, guidance and support we are receiving from all of our friends and family, as well as through Quinnipiac University and Tau Kappa Epsilon," stated James J. Stewart, Educator and member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. "Our pain spreads throughout the community, and all of our prayers are with the Petrillo family as we all mourn the loss of a classmate, a friend, a brother and a son.

"Rico was a man known for his distinguishable smile and uncontrollable enthusiasm," Stewart added, "He was a leader who made fraternal activities a priority and he was determined to help others without question. He participated in all of our philanthropic activities and he was thankful for everything in his life, as we are all grateful to have been part of his. As our fraternity mourns, we are guided by the hopes and prayers of the whole Quinnipiac University community."

To honor his enthusiasm and spirit which he brought to the entire Quinnipiac community, Tau Kappa Epsilon will establish a scholarship on behalf of Ricardo Petrillo through the TKE Educational Foundation.

"He will be missed and remembered by the entire Quinnipiac community as we support each other during this time of need. Rico will live on through all of us."
