Scene Of The Accident, Inc. is expanding their ÂTools For Techs program to include possible victims of Hurricane Rita along the Texas Coast. The Tools For TechÂs program has been providing tools to technicians who lost everything in Katrina. The program asks for the donation of a tool which is organized into a set and given to an Automobile Technician in need.
Todd Hoffman, Executive Director, Scene Of The Accident, Inc. said, ÂOur tools for techÂs program has been expanded to help all of the technicians in the path of Hurricane Rita. We are asking all technicians along the Texas Gulf Coast to register on our Website at http://www.toolsfortechs.org. We will be calling them after the storm to make sure they are alright and to provide immediate assistance in the way of temporary employment and toolsÂ.
This unique program identifies possible victims before the hurricane strikes. Scene Of The Accident has made arrangements to accommodate any technician that loses their job by matching them with a job opening wherever they become displaced. By offering help before it is actually needed, technicians can concentrate on their families and not worry about immediate assistance after the storm.
ÂThere were over 4000 Automotive Technicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. We learned our lesson when we waited until the storm passed to offer help. This time we are pre-registering technicians and making preparations to provide them with work and tools immediately after the storm. The faster we provide help for the people in need, the sooner they can begin rebuilding their lives stated Hoffman.
