Latest Child I.D. Device Showcased on Home Shopping Network

The latest in child identification products is now available on The Home Shopping Network."

(PRWEB) September 23, 2005 -- The latest in child identification products is now available on The Home Shopping Network." Developed by Springboro resident Eric Wilms, the Life Lynx Safety Key is a digital device that enables parents to store vital information about there children, including a front and profile photograph. The device, which is designed as a key chain, can plug into any Windows computer with a USB port, allowing for instantaneous transmission of this information if their child is lost or missing. Any Internet-capable device can then retrieve the information and pictures, putting it quickly in the hands of authorities who can locate a missing child. It also enables the timely creation of missing posters complete with the stored descriptions and photographs as well as printing ID cards from your own computer.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, more than 2,000 children are reported missing in the United States each day.

Designed and developed with input from law enforcement and missing children experts, the Life Lynx Safety Key goes beyond the traditional child identification products. The key chain was developed so important information travels with parents at all times and can be quickly disseminated within those vital first few minutes of realizing a child is missing. Further, the information and photos are easily updated so current data is always available. The key is also password protected. Therefore, only the owner can release the information.

Wilms developed the identification device after what he describes as the longest two minutes of his life. Those two minutes occurred while visiting the Columbus Zoo last year. When he and his wife turned their backs for a split second, they couldnt find their twin daughters. After the relief of finding them playing near a drinking fountain, Wilms realized he and his wife did not have a plan for such an event. Thus, Life Lynx was born.
