Sterling Glen of Roslyn to Host Concert for Local Residents, Sept. 25
Event Celebrates Evolution of Roslyn Waterfront
Roslyn, N.Y., (PRWEB) September 24, 2005 -- Sterling Glen Senior Living, developer and owner of a new independent senior living residence under construction on the Roslyn waterfront, will host a concert on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 100 Landing Road.
The event, beginning at 6 p.m. which is open to the public, is being held to mark the revitalization of the village's shoreline, which includes the addition of Sterling Glen of Roslyn, a luxury three-story, 158-apartment rental residence, and a five-acre seaside public promenade.

Local and state officials will join Sterling Glen in welcoming local residents, families and their guests prior to the concert, featuring The Band of Long Island," led by Michael Flamhaft, conductor. Comprised of 46 professional and accomplished musicians, the ensemble features flute, piccolo, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn and trombone sections. Musical selections will range from traditional marches and classical transcriptions to arrangements from the big band days and great Broadway and Hollywood favorites. The concert will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
