LAPD Metropolitan Division Mounted Platoon will Host an Open House at the Ahmanson Equestrian Facility

Meet the LAPDs Mounted S.W.A.T. Unit, K-9 Officers and More

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 24, 2005 -- The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Metropolitan Division, Mounted Platoon invites the public to their 17th Annual open house at the Ahmanson Equestrian Facility, Saturday, October 1, 2005, between 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at 3934 Rigali Street.

During the event, everyone from adults to kids will get a chance to meet and greet LAPD's elite Mounted, S.W.A.T. unit, K-9 Unit, Bomb Squad, California Highway Patrol, and Los Angeles Fire Department. Events will include live demonstrations by Mounted, S.W.A.T. and K-9 Officers, as well as displays by other specialized units of the Police Department and other government agencies.

Open to the public, this free annual event supports the LAPD mounted equine officers. All proceeds are used to purchase horses to help the team remain strong for Los Angeles.
