(PRWEB) September 23, 2005 -- Due to the overwhelming response to our Rattlehead Hat promotion to benefit the American Red Cross, the fundraiser has been extended through Sunday, September 25th. With Hurricane Rita bearing down on the already battered region, AKA Sportswear in conjunction with Hooters Restaurant, have agreed to continue the "Terrible Tail" promotion. Once again, all proceeds will be donated to the relief effort.

Hooters Restaurant located in the Arizona Center near Bank One Ballpark, along with AKA Sportswear (http://www.akasportswear.com), an Arizona company, have joined together in a promotion to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina and at the same time help the loyal fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks show support for their struggling team. Foregoing a more traditional rollout of the revamped Rattlehead Hat that was scheduled for early next spring, the fan friendly folks at AKA Sportswear have decided on an early release of their new stadium piece (See it at http://www.thesnakepit.com) to benefit those affected by Hurricane Katrina. The faux snakeskin hat with its stylish tail will be the envy of sports fans everywhere. Imagine 50,000 fans with caps in hand waving their "Terrible Tails" in support of the home team. This ultimate rally cap can be purchased for a limited time only in a special pre-release that is intended solely to benefit the American Red Cross and their efforts in the Gulf Coast. The donated hats are being sold at the Arizona Center location of Hooters Restaurant with all proceeds going to benefit the American Red Cross relief effort. Fans that come into the Hooters location at the Arizona Center and show their ticket to any Diamondbacks game will receive $5 dollars off of their very own Rattlehead cap, the ultimate in fan gear, and at the same time know that all proceeds from the purchase will benefit the American Red Cross in their Gulf Coast relief efforts.

The promotion is scheduled to run through the final game of the Arizona Diamondbacks home stand versus the San Diego Padres which ends on Sunday, September 25th.
