Unique Recycled 'New York Tote' Bag from Passchal, Debuts at Call2Recycle Event during Olympus Fashion Week New York
Raising environmental consciousness is the goal and at this re-treat, even the goody bag is recycled.
(PRWEB) September 26, 2005 -- Passchal, a handbag company in Richmond, VA, showed their stylish tote as part of the goodie bag at the CALL2RECEYCLE Re-Treat at the Dylan Hotel in Midtown Manhattan September 13, 2005.
The tote, which is made of used truck and tractor inner tubes & fine leather, made an instant hit with the parade of celebrities, models and press that attended the CALL2RECYCLE event. The attendees were asked to do their part for the environment by bringing an old cell phone to the Re-Treat to be recycled by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC).
Passchal was invited to participate because of the Companys own recycling efforts of re-using old truck and tractor inner tubes. Making handbags out of the material reduces the potential environmental impact of the discarded tubes, which can be expensive and difficult to dispose of.
Passchal Products has been in operation since June, 2004.
All bags are handmade from recycled truck and tractor inner tubes. The handbags retail from $125 - $175 and are available through Passchal.
