HR.com (http://www.hr.com), the largest research and Web destination for HR Executives, recently published a research paper entitled, ÂTalent Management Metrics: A Survey of Current Practices.Â
Written by Claude Balthazard, Ph.D., HR.comÂs Director of Research who also keeps an eye on the measurements and metrics area, the paper gives the results of a survey into current practices, not only with respect to the metrics we collect and report, but also with respect to the manner in which we access and work with recruitment and talent management data. More than 500 senior managers and executives responded to the survey.
Although all companies surveyed reported that they collected and reported some kind of measures related to their recruitment processes, only 25% used some kind of online access to do so. Even in larger companies--those with 20,000 employees or more--the proportion of companies using an online system to access recruitment data did not reach above 60%. And this, despite that fact that those organizations that have implemented online processes to collect and display recruitment metrics (1) have been able to make more use of their recruitment metrics, (2) find that their online processes are easier to use, more intuitive, more flexible, more powerful, and more strategic, and (3) are more than twice as likely to be satisfied with their recruitment metrics interface.
