New Home Journal" to feature PLYLOX -- Window Protection Clips"--
Designs protective clips for the home that are easy to install and protect from storm damage.
Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) September 28, 2005 -- Platinum Television Group is pleased to announce the selection of Plylox, Inc. for its innovative, educational television series, New Home Journal. The company will be featured in a segment on Home Protection Solutions" in the Made in America Series, and the show will air through a combination of ABC Family nationally, and regionally, on PAX TV and Regional News Networks in many of the top markets nationwide.
PLYLOX, Inc., with headquarters in Pearland, TX, develops home protection solutions, such as these hurricane protection clips. PLYLOX are patented H -- shaped carbon steel clips that are engineered to fit ½-inch wide plywood. They are easy to install and cause very minimal damage to the outer areas of ones home or business place. Moreover, they provide great protection during a storm or hurricane. These protective clips are an ingenious, inexpensive, and non-destructive way of boarding up the windows without drilling, screws, nails, or adhesives-and they are very effective.
The invention of PLYLOX started with a storm in the Gulf of Mexico. A man measured his windows, and took $300 from the bank to protect his windows. He ventured to the lumber store and priced the ½-inch plywood at $240, leaving him with $60 left for nails, nuts, and bolts. He asked a salesman for help and grew even more confused so he left and went to a different hardware store. This second store could not help the man either. Then, he went to another store and still no good solution. Finally, he decided not to board up his windows and luckily no one got hurt, but he did come up with the idea for PLYLOX (out of necessity). This actually was how Robert Fee, now president of PLYLOX, Inc., was driven to start the company!
PLYLOX window clips work with brick, wood, and stucco window casings that are at least 2 ½ - 3 inches deep; PLYLOX can work for windows of any size and shape. Installation is easy and simple for any home or business. First, cut the plywood ¼ inch smaller than the window opening, which allows 1/8-inch clearance all around. Next, slide the PLYLOX clips on the vertical edge of the plywood. Finally, with the teeth towards you, against the brick, push the plywood sheet into the window casing. Now...one is secure! In addition, they can be removed as quickly and easily as installed. By grasping the tension leg of the PLYLOX clip with ones thumb and index finger, pull forward to release the clip. Then, the plywood is easily removed from the window, and one can store these protection clips for reuse the next time there is a nasty, threatening storm.
PLYLOX is available at fine hardware and lumber stores, such as 84 Lumber, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, McCoys, and Lowes. For more information, please see www.plylox.com.
