In Touch Media Group, Inc (ITOU—OTCBB), a leading supplier of online marketing services, including paid search advertising and search engine enhanced publicity tools, announced the launch of bringing pixel based micro-ads into the mainstream.

Pixel advertising involves the sale of 100 pixels, in the shape of a square that is about 1/4 inch wide, to individual advertisers. The ads are then linked to the advertiser’s web site or the web page of their choice.

The pixel ads are concentrated in groups of 1000 to 10000 squares on the home page of an advertising site. Web traffic is then driven to the pixel ad pages in significant levels resulting in site visitors for the advertisers.

Currently, individual entrepreneurs have enjoyed tremendous success using this system led by Alex Tew of England, whose site launch was announced on the 5th of September, 2005. Tew’s site rose in its Alexa ranking ( has been described as the A.C. Neilson of the internet because it ranks World Wide Web sites in terms of visit popularity) from total obscurity to one of the top 1000 sites on the web in just 3 weeks, an astonishing feat. This type of ranking indicates a huge amount of daily visitors. One advertiser who bought Tew’s micro-ads stated that their traffic rose by a factor of one hundred. Tew’s initial site promotion involved just a simple press release distributed via

In Touch Media (, which recently received Google’s highest rating for search engine marketing expertise, plans to use its entire battery of paid search tools to flood its new micro-ad site, (, with web traffic. ITOU will also unleash its breakthrough publicity service, aptly named Press Direct, to drive world wide traffic to the site.

Press Direct involves the production of search engine optimized articles, which are placed in dozens of the world’s largest article content hubs, to proliferate any story throughout the internet. This action is then followed by the placement of search engine optimized press releases with media services such as, in conjunction with the distribution of the release to its own in-house list of over 10,000 media contacts. One recent ITOU release gained an estimated 400 media pick-ups in just seven days using the Press Direct system.

The Chairman of In Touch Media Group, Bob Cefail, feels that his company is uniquely qualified to bring this cutting edge method of advertising into the mainstream. “We have a vast array of tools to swamp a web site with traffic”, said Cefail, “By using Press Direct and search engine marketing we can focus a heavy stream of web traffic on any target”. ITOU feels that the micro-ad industry, although very new, is fragmented and underdeveloped despite the maturity of current internet technologies.

Cefail believes he understands “why” people are attracted to these pixel advertising sites. “I went to several of these sites and I found myself compelled to click away at these little ads”, states Cefail. “I wanted to find out who the advertisers were out of pure curiosity. The thing that was exciting is that the advertisers had some great offers that I would have never have known about if I didn’t go to the sites”.

In Touch Media is also drawn to this type of advertising because of the demographic it believes pixel based alternative promotions appeals to the most. According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project, (, 84% of all American adults ages 18-29, are internet users. This demographic is highly prized by advertisers and is increasingly more difficult to reach through traditional media. A study done by Stanford also reported that the average U.S. internet user is online close to 3 hours a day, easily exceeding average TV viewing time which is now at 1.7 hours a day.

In Touch Media’s initial micro-ad effort will begin with for a mixed bag of ad categories. Over the next seven days ITOU will also announce a series of three additional pixel sites aimed at specific sectors. “I want the word ‘pixel’ to be the next great water cooler phrase”, Cefail stated, “And it is great timing with Christmas coming up”.
