Decor Publishing, Inc. will celebrate the first annual publication of Luxury Living in the Desert, a comprehensive, high-end design sourcebook, on Thursday evening, September 29. Festivities will commence at 6:00 in the evening, in the Dining Room at Bighorn Golf Club, in South Palm Desert.

Luxury Living in the Desert provides an in-depth resource for current and prospective luxury homeowners in the desert cities. This premier edition provides residents with vital information that includes descriptions, photos and advice from the valley's foremost architects, designers, builders, and consultants. The coffee-table style volume is virtually the only compilation of its kind, and both consumers and advertisers rave about the tremendous value of the book.

"It's nice to advertise in something where you're surrounded by others who are at the top of their industries, and where you can get quality responses", says Mark Scott, a landscape architect in Newport Beach where Luxury Living was inaugurated. "Luxury Living in the most valuable resource out there".

Dina Stegon, President of Décor Publishing, Inc. began producing resource volumes for luxury homeowners and professionals more than six years ago, publishing the first volume of Luxury Living in Orange County in 2003. The books are meant to assist property owners in all phases of building, remodeling and renovation. She considers the Desert volume a team effort, accomplished through the hard work of her co-workers and the enthusiastic support of local advertisers.

"From the beginning, this project has had tremendous momentum. The response from everyone throughout the     desert cities has been just incredible. There's a critical need in the valley for a resource like Luxury Living, and I'm delighted that we have been able to create this beautiful, highly functional volume.”

Indeed, the success of the initial Luxury Living sourcebook has been overwhelming. Scott Hutcheon, of Rendered Solutions in Orange County, got his first response to the volume just days after its publication. "Since then I've received so many calls from which I currently have five jobs coming to fruition, totaling over a million dollars in construction costs", estimates Hutcheon.

Thursday night's festivities at Bighorn, a featured community in the book, are meant to celebrate the release of the Desert volume and to honor the efforts of those who made the publication possible. As Dina Stegon notes, "The most rewarding accomplishment of a lifetime can be building a dream home. Luxury Living in the Desert helps make that dream a reality".
