Makes Helping with Hurricane Relief Easier

Now those interested in the relief efforts after the Gulf Coast hurricanes have an easier way to find donation and volunteer opportunities at

The brain-child of Whole Brain Technologies, LLC, lists charities and organizations involved in the relief efforts after the Gulf Coast hurricanes. “We wanted to make things easier for people looking for charities to contribute to. There are so many ways to help,” says CTO and Left Brain Heather Florence. “This site is our way of giving back to the community, doing more than simply writing a check. This comes from our hearts.”

More than just monetary donations, the site includes ways to volunteer time, donate goods and services, and other ways to help such as participating in special events, purchasing gifts, donating airline miles, or helping to find jobs for those who have been displaced.

“The relief efforts are huge,” says CEO and Right Brain Teri Robnett. “So many organizations need help, but it’s a challenge for people to find the opportunities they really connect with. Some want to provide food or housing while others want to help children or animals. The work will go on for a long time, and we’re hoping that people can find charities to connect with for the long term.”

The site is, by no means, a complete list. It will be continually updated as new information is received. Any reputable organizations not yet included are asked to submit a request to be added. “We don’t claim to be experts in nonprofits, and we don’t guarantee the quality of the opportunities listed, but we’ve done our best to verify the list,” says Robnett. As always, potential donors still need to do their own research.

Over time, the site will be updated to focus on other issues, while retaining the current information on hurricane relief. Plans are already in the works to connect visitors with ways to support the troops over the holidays. For more information about, call 303-546-0735.
