Silanis Announces ApproveIt Desktop Version 5.7.1 available on Army Gold Master

(PRWEB) September 29, 2005 -- Silanis Technology, the leading provider of electronic signature solutions, today announced ApproveIt Desktop Version 5.7.1 is now available on the Army Gold Master (AGM) CD. Silanis electronic signature and approval solutions were selected by the US Army as the standard for signing and approving forms and documents for its 1.4 million personnel in December 2004.

The enterprise license was awarded as part of the Forms Content Management Program (FCMP), an Army-wide initiative to fully automate forms-based processes. To simplify the process of automation, FCMP combines electronic signatures with XML-based e-forms and content management software to create a single infrastructure platform across the Army. Personnel can also use the electronic signaturess solution to sign a variety of document formats including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF and FormFlow.

Adopting electronic signature technology enables the Army to fully leverage the Department of Defenses (DoD) public key infrastructure and to enhance the value of the over four million deployed common access cards (CACs). This expands the use of the CAC to include essential business applications such as the ability to electronically sign documents and forms in day-to-day and critical mission applications.

The ApproveIt software will be distributed through the Army Golden Master (AGM) and Army Electronic Library (AEL) CD-ROMs or via download from the APD Web Site and the FCMP portal on the AKO. You can download from the ASCP Web Site today.
